This role works with the leadership group, production, quality assurance, and other members of the maintenance team to improve and maximize plant output, efficiency, quality, and safety. We are currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, corrective action, repair, overhaul, and installation on production equipment and related plant support equipment to include boilers, refrigeration, and other facilities system.
  • Work with Production on continuous improvement initiatives to solve problems with equipment.
  • Troubleshoot PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s and other automation and instrumentation.
  • Provide line support for changeovers by understanding total process layouts and be able to maximize equipment efficiency.
  • Implement projects for line improvements.
  • Safeguard and maintain company equipment and property, including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Ensures all areas are kept clean at all times.
  • Attend all company training sessions
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Experience performing preventative maintenance, repair and adjustment of filling conveying, packaging, palletizing, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, PLC, and fabrication.
  • Experience in using precision machinist tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
  • Adhere to all food safety and quality SOP’s. Communicate any known or suspected food safety or quality issues to the Q.A. Manager and Department Manager.


Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior food/beverage/CPG or food safe production maintenance experience.
  • Technical education
  • Ammonia refrigeration
  • Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish


Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Work Environment: Work is normally performed in a production/warehouse environment. As part of the job requirements employee may be exposed to work in a production setting and cold temperature (-20 degrees) at times.
