We are currently seeking Plant Electricians who will support plant operations through performing maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing and installing electrical equipment, electrical systems, and components while ensuring compliance to all local, state and federal electrical codes. Current openings could be on 1st (6:30AM – 2:30PM), 2nd (2:30PM – 10:30PM), or 3rd (10:30PM – 6:30AM) shifts Monday – Friday with overtime as needed. Starting pay is $33.31/hour with shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Responsibilities
- Setup, install, troubleshoot and maintain electrical equipment such as AC/DC drives, solenoids, motor control circuits and PLCs.
- Maintain general plant electrical devices such as compressors, lights, HVAC units, etc.
- Utilize digital test equipment, such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to determine root cause of system malfunction.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair plant Video Jet units.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair plant production equipment.
- Assist in evaluating, developing and executing plant preventative maintenance tasks for plant equipment.
- Assist in administration of spare part strategies and administering plant storeroom inventories.
- Assist in new equipment installations and upgrades.
- Support assembly line crews as directed to achieve desired key performance indicators.
- Properly complete all administrative tasks, including logbooks, data entry, Jumper Log and record keeping.
- Conduct safety audits of plant facilities and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Working knowledge/current experience with high voltage, switch gears and sub-station equipment.
- Working knowledge and current experience with single and 3-phase up to 440 volt.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Thorough experience and/or technical training, Must demonstrate basic electrical skills in the areas of:
- Circuit checks for voltage and taking amp readings. D.C. devices, including power supplies, sensors and solenoids.
- 24VDC magnetic controls, including related switches, relays and solenoids.
- Single and variable speed motors.
- Transformers and AC variable frequency drives. (1200AC/240VAC/480VAC)
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 Standard, OSHA Electrical Standard, Arc Flash compliance, Lock Out/Tag Out requirements and other safety procedures related to the job.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic electronics for troubleshooting and calibration of components and the National Electrical Code.
- Demonstrated ability on how to use multi-meter, amprobe, oscilloscope and soldering station.
- Working knowledge and current experience with single and 3-phase up to 440 volts.
- Know how to use PLCs for troubleshooting purposes and programming of equipment.
- Basic Knowledge of servo and stepper motors and drives.
- Ability to use DOS and Windows applications effectively.
- Ability to fashion and run electrical conduit using pipe benders and threaders.
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics and mechanical prints.
- Ability to communicate and interact well with production crews and work together as a team member.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience working on mechanical components of industrial equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and good record keeping skills.
- Safety & Quality minded with willingness for excellence required in all aspects of the job.
- Must be able to work any shift, 12-hour shifts, evenings, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
Preferred Requirements
- Associate degree / Technical college certificate and/or apprenticeship desired.
- Basic understanding of equipment desired but not required.
- Willing to commit to ongoing self-development and trainings.

- Aptitude to maintain, repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment, systems, and components in a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Strong reading skills to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Strong writing skills for writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Detail-oriented and good record keeping skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to give and receive instructions.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
Physical Requirements*
- Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
- This is an active position and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly uses hands and fingers routinely.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions
- Manufacturing plant environment.
- The associate may be required to work in plant environment subject to extreme temperatures and high levels of noise.
